Professional Background

I have been actively selling  real estate in the Oakville and surrounding areas since 2006.  Prior to launching my real estate career, I acquired over 30 years of experience working in the accounting field and banking industry. I was fortunate to hold many different positions within these industries and have carried the experience and skill sets through to my real estate career.

Professional Interests

I am passionate about real estate. Having spent many years growing up with my father being a broker and having his own brokerage, I knew that one day I too wanted to pursue my interest in this wonderful industry. Times have changed since then....like when I use to help him pick up keys to homes from the various brokerages, no such thing as lock boxes back then.......but people and their expectations about service haven't changed. I will always put you, my client, first!

Since I'm an early era "Baby Boomer" I decided that one of my  focuses will be on the mature and senior market. I recently attained my Accredited Senior Designation so that I may better service this market . There are many services that I can offer that the regular real estate salesperson is not aware of. When you decide to make a lifestyle change or life throws you a curve, I'm able to help you and/or your family members in making this transition as smooth as possible.

I personally have had to deal with moving a senior family member. In September 2009 I had to move our 90 year old father from Vancouver, B.C. to be closer to his family. So I know both personally and professionally how difficult this transition can be. During 2010 my father's health deteriorated and he was in and out of the hospital. On the advice of the doctors, I again had to move him from an independent retirement residence to an assisted living residence. Going through all this I experienced many things that seniors have to deal with. These mature and senior clients have special needs. I am patient, caring and I work with the individuals and their family to always put their needs first.

Personal Background

I have made Oakville home since 1988. Prior to that I lived in the Edmonton, Alberta area and grew up primarily in Vancouver, B.C. When it comes to moving and re-locating I can honestly say that "I've been there, done that"!

Personal Interests

I enjoy walking, swimming, puttering in the garden and believe it or not...cleaning my house! When I lived in Vancouver, B.C. and in my younger days I use to ski at Whistler and Grouse Mountain. Once I was married, my husband and I use to enjoy boating in the waters around Vancouver and San Juan Islands.

Community Involvement

For many years while our son was in Grades 1 through 8, I volunteered at his schools and participated on the school councils. I held the positions of Chair and Treasurer while he was at Munn's Elementary School. Once he moved onto Montclair Senior School, I held the position of Treasurer for two years. I also was involved with helping out with the Breakfast Program at Munn's and volunteered in the office at Montclair. Being involved with the school councils gave me an opportunity to help out in many school events in the community.
