Agents of Bamber at Woman2Warrior

Whatever you choose to do – just stay active!

Fifteen ladies set off to overcome some fun obstacles and had a great time on Sat May 30 at SAIT and Riley Park in Calgary, in support of Easter Seals of Alberta and the Children’s Hospital Aid Society.

It was the first year Woman2Warrior was held in Calgary, but as my daughter says – it’s not their first rodeo. The race has been ongoing in BC, so they know what they’re doing!

Woman2Warrior is a non-timed, women’s only run covering about 5km of trails, track, and grass, and features obstacles to test your strength, agility, balance, and sense of adventure.

Collectively, Agents of Bamber raised more than $10,000!

The event’s fundraising goal was $150,000 and they hit more than $165,000!!

What a great way to contribute to Easter Seals Camp Horizon. Camp Horizon gives campers the chance to learn new skills and overcome challenges they never thought possible. Spending time with others facing similar challenges for a week each summer, gives them the opportunity to make new friends and just be a kid again - with the added benefit of a support network for life.

“The experience is liberating and invigorating, because at Camp we focus on the ability. That's what makes us so unique. And that's why kids can't wait to come back each year.”

I’m pretty sure we’re looking forward to doing it all again next year too!

There were lots of volunteers to help out – many thanks to all of them!

And special thanks to volunteer photographer Stuart Kinnear for taking photos!
