Well, the first two games are in the books and what do they tell us?
The Flames and Canucks is truly a rivalry. The NHL set out for these two teams to play in a rematch of last year's playoff match and it may have set the tone for an exciting year.
In a home opening loss in which the Flames were dominated, many of the games experts pounded their chests saying "see we told ya so. The Flames will drop this year". Of course, they didn't take into
consideration that the still young Flames might have just been too excited to impress their home fans.
Game 2 showed the team from last year that never gave up and dominated the second half of the game.
The Flames top line of Hudler, Monahan, and Gaudreau are a magical trio. Their ability to play close together in the offensive zone and pressure the opponent is fun to watch (if you are a Calgary fan).
Dougie Hamilton is a great addition to the team. He showed in game two why he is a top line defenseman. His skill with the puck brings another rear guard to make the Flames feared.
If the #Flames get to OT, they are going to bring fans to their feet.
They have this 3 on 3 program figured out.
