CANADIAN ECONOMY GAINS STRENGTH

Virtually every sector of the Canadian Economy has rebounded sharply, building on momentum started in the latter half of 2009 and accelerated into 2010. We expect Canadian output growth of 3.6% in 2010 which is the strongest increase in 10 years. Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are expected to experience growth of 2.3Q% and 2.2% respectively while P.E.I. forecast is 2.3% and Newfoundland leads the Atlantic Region at 3.8% growth forecast.  Newfoundland & Labrador's increase is largely due to the commodities sector.
