Looks like Spring just might be around the corner!
What a winter this has been! Not much snow, except yesterday! What! The grass is already turning green but was it every really white? I haven't had to shovel much this year which my back is thankful for! I have had a few conversations with folks who aren’t originally from this region and they are wondering why they packed their shorts away for the winter! Well friends, I guess we can't complain too much and we have had a great season up a Silver Star where the snow is great!
But never fear, there are a few signs that spring is about to knock on our door. What a great time to begin Spring cleaning on your home! If you are thinking about putting your home on the market this year, this is the time for you to get all those home repairs done. Whether it be painting, cleaning up the garage, getting your flowerbeds ready for Spring blooms, or even putting away your Christmas tree. (You know who you are) Or better yet, taking down those Christmas lights! Remember that selling your home for the maximum price in the shortest period of time is not as easy as just putting a sign in the yard and waiting for the calls to start pouring in.
Use these last few cold weeks to inventory your home’s needs. Cut down on clutter and pack up your least-used items, such as large blenders and other kitchen tools, out-of-season clothes, toys, and exercise equipment. Store items off-site or in boxes neatly arranged in the garage or storage. Clean the windows, carpets, walls, lighting fixtures, and baseboards to make the house shine.
Let’s get ready to say goodbye to winter and HELLO SPRING! I think Mark Twain knew this feeling when he wrote:
"It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!"
