This weekend is going to be so much fun that you'll want to get all your gardening and pesky to-do list done by Saturday! It's the first ever Oakville Children's Festival, sponsored by the Town of Oakville and Tim Hortons and showcased at Coronation Park.
One of Oakville's loveliest parks, which was recently renovated, will become an arts and culture playground for kids of all ages with free live performances and fantastic events designed to thrill and inspire both young and old. Main stage headliners include: Sharon, Bram & Friends; Sheesham & Lotus; Jack Grunsky; and Corpus – Les moutons.
The goal of the Oakville Children’s Festival is to introduce children to arts and culture in an engaging and interactive way. Face painters, balloon artists, characters and storytellers are sure to capture the curiosity of young minds, while the interactive activities will encourage participation and discovery. Amazing activities will be situated throughout the park including; art activities, yoga and dance lessons, reptile, magic and science shows, kids’ play zone and obstacle course, face painting, food vendors, and lots more!
An Oakville Transit shuttle bus is being offered, free of charge, from the Bronte GO Station if walking or riding a bike isn't feasible. Special bike parking corrals will be available on site and attendees are encouraged to walk, bike or carpool in order to alleviate traffic congestion.
There is no admission for this festival and visitors are encouraged to bring a refillable bottle to enjoy fresh and free water from the water bar. You won't be disappointed...so grab the kids and head over to Coronation Park this Sunday to check out this amazing and affordable event.
