Don't MissThe Oakville Santa Claus Parade
HO HO HO! Guess what time it is? It's the time of year when we wonder, how far away is Christmas really?? There's no snow on the ground, the sun is shining and the leaves are STILL falling off some of the trees, so Christmas HAS to be MONTHS away right? Wrong. Christmas is exactly 42 days away!!!
Where's the proof you ask? Well.....this Saturday the "Big Man" is rolling into Oakville for the 65th Annual Oakville Santa Claus Parade.
Don't miss out on a chance to enjoy all the fun as the Oakville community kicks of the festivities on Saturday, November 16 at 9 a.m. (rain or shine) for Oakville’s Santa Claus Parade! Remember, parking is limited so take advantage of the free Santa Shuttle. Check the parade route map below to find a good place to enjoy the best view possible.
Don't Forget to Bring Your Toys!
Each year the Oakville Firefighters collect toys for families in need within the Town of Oakville. It's a great way to teach your children how to give back to those in the community who are less fortunate. Maybe while you are shopping and your children show you what they would like for Christmas, they can choose something to give a child in need and bring it with them to the Parade.
The Toy Drive will kick off at the beginning of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade on Saturday. Come prepared with a toy or gift card and you can drop it off in the truck as the Firefighters make their way down the parade route.
If you cannot make it to the parade, bring your toy to your local Fire Station before December 18, 2013 so they can make sure that every child can receive a toy by Christmas
