Saskatoon Real Estate Market Review - July 18th

The Saskatoon real estate market has been extremely active as of late as sales numbers have continually improved in each of the past 3 weeks. Last week 103 sales took place in Saskatoon which is 9 more than the week previous and 13 greater than the numbers in 2010. Last week the number of new listings dropped 18 units from the previous week to finish at 1410 (801 single family homes, 518 condominiums) total properties which are 36 more than the same period in 2010. These inventory levels are substantially higher than normal for this time of year as was the same case last year. However historically over the last 5 years having over 1400 listings is reasonably high. The average selling price in Saskatoon last week was $308,017 which is slightly higher than the yearly average and the average selling price was $9,782 less than asking. Have an excellent week!
