Saskatoon Real Estate Market Review - March 21

Real estate sales in Saskatoon improved slightly over the past week when 70 firm sales were reported. This number is 3 more than the week previous and 10 less than the same period in 2010. Listing activity in Saskatoon were down last week as 116 properties were posted on the local MLS in comparison to the 125 from the week previous and 135 during the same period in 2010. In total there are 1158 properties available in Saskatoon, which is just 19 more than last week and is the smallest weekly listing gain in the last 7 weeks. Total listings are up substantially from last year as 663 single family homes and 430 condominiums are available at the moment, in comparison to 555 single family homes and 367 condominiums last year. Activity was more prevalent in the lower end of the inventory last week, however a few sales at the top end balanced out the average price of homes in Saskatoon to finish at an average of $301,095.
