Saskatoon Real Estate Review December 6th

In Saskatoon last week there were 56 sales recorded on the local MLS system which is actually quite a refreshing number for this time of year as 10 less were reported for the same period in 2009. Of these 56 sales, 52 out of 56 agreed to a deal $11,681 on average below the asking price. New listings rose up to 77 last week which is 20 higher than the same period last year and 14 higher than last week. At the moment there are 575 single family dwellings and 392 condominiums which is still a much higher number of listings than usual. We should expect the number of listings to dip below the 1000 mark soon enough which would be the first time since last March. The average selling price dropped from last week to finish at $307,355. Overall the market is still thriving regardless of a typically slower season on average. Things are expected to really pick up in January once the Christmas season ends. Have an excellent week!
