Saskatoon real estate weekly market reivew - April 1st - 7th

Last week the Saskatoon real estate market was reasonably active. There were 88 firm sales (65 single family, 22 condominiums) with an average price of $361,101 which were listed for an average of 39 days. The average selling price under asking was $4157. The most important figure is the weekly average price which is higher than previous recent weeks which is due to a large amount of sales occurring over the weekly average price. Ultimately last week’s numbers were more impressive than two weeks ago when 75 firm sales were reported in Saskatoon, with a weekly average price of only $328,533. During the same week period in 2012 there were only 65 firm sales with an average price of just over $330,000.

Currently inventory levels are starting to climb as there were 162 new listings (102 single family, 54 condominiums) in Saskatoon. After a strong week of listing activity the overall active listing number jumped to 1106 (679 single family, 347 condominiums).

Last week the number of sales and listings increased significantly. Should be good things ahead for the week to come. If you’re thinking about buying or selling contact us at thematthewolsgardteam@century21.ca.
