FOR SALE BY OWNER (FSBO)

FSBO

Can you really sell your home on your own?  Of course you can, but it does take time and some effort.  For about three days now i have made a list of 24 FSBO's and have been trying to call to see if they are willing to co-operate with Agents as i have clients looking and would like to take them through the FSBO homes.  Here has been my frustration, which can also be a potential buyers frustration as well.  Out of the 24 homes i have been calling I have had ONLY 2 people that actually answered their phone.  One of those is willing to co-operate, but has only a time window of one hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. as they work all day and want the evenings to themselves. Ugh! Very little window for buyers to view their home and all that lost potential during the day. I am not a type of person that leaves messages so for three days now unable to get a person on the other end of the phone number(s) left to contact of the other 22 homes left with still no answers.  Not to mention i have tried calling at different times of the day.   Out of the 24 homes i have called two have already listed with an Agent (which is great as now i can simply email with an appointment and get in during the day with my clients).   My point is that us as Agents work not only during the day, but evenings and weekends as well.  So when you are off to work during the day and out of town buyers are in town and need to view your home during the day you won't be home to let them in, thus resulting in a potential lost SALE.  There are so many reasons why you should use a Real Estate Agent, but i will save this for another post.  I just wanted to enlighten you as to my personal frustration on trying to view FSBO's.  On the up side....I have written on a home for my clients that was listed with a co-operating Agent!
