The following chart shows average sale prices in Niagara for the five months in 2014 to May 30th versus the same period in 2013.

Only Fonthill/Pelham and West Lincoln showed a drop, and Fonthill is insignificant at -0.8%. For all other areas, the average price is up compared to the same time last year.

Number of Sales: Port Colborne experienced a dramatic increase in number of sales: 111 from January to May 2013 versus 130 for the same time this year, a percentage boost of 17%.

The number of sales also increased in Thorold (4.6%), Welland (8.2%) and Lincoln (11.7%). All other areas indicate a drop in sales compared to the same period last year, with the percentage change in St. Catharines being miniscule at -0.6%.
