Pottersburg Real Estate Listings and Information
The Hale Street District was known as Pottersburg until 1912, when London annexed it, along with Ealing, Knowllwood, and Chelsea Green areas. As with the area being known as Pottersburg; Hale Street was then named London Junction.
The area is bordered south by Wavell Street, to the north side of Dundas Street. East is Kiwanis Park, west to Highbury Avenue. One of the next door neighbours is The Western Fair District/Old East where you can find the Western Fair Farmers Market, Western Fair Slots, and Old East Village. The area is also a short drive to both East and Carson branch libraries. The neighbourhood park is the North section of Kiwanis park and is a fantastic place to walk, jog, cycle, roll, or play sports! It boasts mature trees for a great place to picnic, a splash pad for the kids with washroom amenities, playground equipment graciously built by Saturn Car Company with future city repairs and replacements, double-wide cycling pathways and bridges along the Pottersburg Creek and throughout the park, 10 swings, tennis courts, 2 baseball diamonds, batting cage, and a large skate park at the Wavell Street entrance.
The Hale Street District neighbourhood boasts a mix of homes built with old world charm early 1900s through the 1970s. Each home is unique; some with stained glass, professionally manicured landscapes, and turn of the century stone.
