Both Century 21 All-Pro Realty (1993) Ltd., Brokerage and Habitat For Humanity Northumberland are in the housing business, Ed Zylka pointed out Tuesday.
Zylka was present at the Cobourg Century 21 office to shake hands with broker/owner Garry Liboiron on a new partnership that should be beneficial to both.
For the next year, participating agents will donate a set amount per property sold to Habitat. In return, Habitat will promote Century 21.
"They will be using our logo as we will be using theirs on links to Facebook and the website. We will be putting up signage at their office, and they will be able to put Habitat-partnership logos on all their signs," Zylka said.
"This is a monumental step forward for our partnership program. We will work really hard to keep them on board," Zylka said.
The 14 participating agents make up almost 100% participation, Liboiron said, and they're hoping to get everyone on board.
"It's a large commitment on their part, and it's a great commitment," he said.
"We earn our income here. We work here. Our families are here, and we should be giving back to the community. Habitat is a very big issue for us, and we look forward to this."
"The nice thing is, all this money stays in the community building affordable housing," Zylka added.
