For 14 years I worked within the Hamilton Steel Industry, I eventually became a valuable member of the management team, as Plant Supervisor.. Under my supervision and direction the plant continuously set production records. Also, I have over a decade of entrepreneurial experience, running my own painting and decorating business. This has allowed me to connect with my customers on professional basis as well as personal level, to fully understand their needs. I thoroughly enjoy working with people and look forward to serving the greater Orillia area.
I am an active individual year round and prefer outdoors to indoors. But to be a little more specific, in the summer I enjoy boating and fishing as well as hiking and camping. In the winter months I enjoy skiing and travel when the time is suitable.
I was born and raised in Burlington, Ont. I spent 5 years in Vancouver, B.C. in the mid 1980's. I have been permanently residing in the Orillia area since 2006, and really like this beautiful part of our country. Although, I do like to escapes to the warmer climates for a week, while enduring our rather cold winters.
The outdoors is were I like to spend most of my free time. I have dedicated over 15 years of volunteer service. Eight of those years I was a football coach with S.O.F.A.L teaching kids the game at a more intense inter-city level. For seven years I was a volunteer firefighter with the city of Kawartha Lakes. I was able to acquire necessary life saving skills that I will have with me for life, and I am extremly thankful for that.
I like to be an active member of my community by volunteering where and when I can.
I have my OSSD, and have continued post secondary school education throughout the years, as I believe learning is the tool to success. Currently I have just finished the first of two semesters in achieving my diploma in Payroll Accounting and once completed I will be certified with the C.P.A.(Canadian Payroll Association).
