There were 5,879 transactions reported to Toronto MLS system in September 2012. The average selling price was $503,662, representing an increase of 8.5% compared to September 2011. The number of transactions was down by 21 per cent in comparison to last year; however, it is important to note there were 2 fewer working days in 2012 compared to 2011. The majority of transactions are reported on working days.
The average selling price was up in September compared to last year for all major home types. Price growth was strongest in the City of Toronto, including condominium apartments with an 8% year over year growth.
