Could the Canadian Canoe Museum be moving to a Waterfront Location Downtown?
The thoughts of dipping our paddles in the water are being put to rest for the season as we put our canoes to bed and hang our paddles up for the winter. The Canadian Canoe Museum, however is gearing up for what could potentially be exciting seasons to come. In January they will begin a review into the feasibiltiy of relocating to a waterfront location downtown. With the downtown being promoted as a tourist destination along with the obvious connection of the waterway, it would certainly be a better suited location for the museum and it's wonderful collection.
After being in it's current location, on Monaghan Rd in Peterborough (just north of Lansdowne) for 15 years what do you think about the pending move? Do you and your family attend events or classes at the museum? If you have a moment, I'd love to hear (or in this case read) your feedback. Please feel free to send you thoughts or comments along in the 'Comments' area provided below.
