The Open Concept Kitchen. Good or Bad?

Kitchens tend to be the focal point of our modern day home and as such home owners have changed the kitchens design to suit. In the past kitchens were a place where the cooking was done and the food was brought to a separate dining room where the guest would be served. In today’s homes we have the 'open concept kitchen' which brings the chef and cooking space into the living space creating a unique environment where everyone can be part of the culinary experience.

Open concept kitchens take all shapes and sizes and can reflect the unique character of the home owner. Here is an example of an open concept kitchen that blends modern and traditional building materials. What do you think? Do you like open concept kitchens or do you like a more traditional layout.
