City Information
Buckhorn, ON

We invite you to discover the beauty of Buckhorn and its surrounding area, there are few places in Canada as visually stunning as the Kawartha Lakes area with open spaces, waterways and an abundance of birds and wildlife, with many unusual geographical features.

The Buckhorn area is rich in culture with its many art galleries, antique stores and flea markets with hundreds of world class cultural events and attractions.

From Spring through Fall, canoe, kayak and boat rentals are available. If you dream of catching that big fish then this is the place to drop your fishing line, with an abundance of Pickerel, Small and Largemouth Bass, Muskie, Perch, Crappie and Panfish, and for our European friends some very large and abundant Common Carp.

Sandy beaches and picnic areas provide enjoyment for those who prefer to stay on land, with hundreds of miles of nature trails and canoe routes for the more adventuresome.

Winter in Buckhorn is just as much fun with access to snowmobile trails, cross country skiing, snowshoe trails and ice fishing a short distance away, with endless possibilities "IMAGINE WHAT AWAITS" in Buckhorn.
