Welcome to the Town of  Lindsay, formerly the village of "Purdy's Mills" and widely considered the "Gateway to the Kawartha Lakes"!  Located just 1 hour 30 min northwest of Toronto, Lindsay is home to approximately 17,000 residents and a popular destination for tourists in all four seasons.  Rich in heritage and history, coupled with its natural beauty and close proximity to the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) make this little town a "growing concern" in central Ontario.

Lock 33 of the "world famous" Trent Severn Waterway is located in the heart of Lindsay on the lazy Scugog River which slowly winds its way through the town and connects the Sturgeon Lake and Scugog Lake.  Boats of all shapes and sizes tour through the town all summer long. Cyclists, joggers, and walking enthusients enjoy the beautiful scenery along the paved trails following the rivers shores in summer, and cross country skiers and snowmobilers share the trails in the winter months.
