This hamlet sits in the heart of the Kawartha’s surrounded by Pigeon lake, Buckhorn lake, Big bald lake, Little bald lake and the famous aqua colored; Sandy lake. This destination spot is growing with young families, retirees and cottagers.  A recent renovation of the Lakehurst community hall has added more beauty and more activities to this quaint town. This hamlet also features a seasonal outdoor skating rink, post office, and cemetery. With its close proximity to Peterborough this hamlet is becoming an ideal spot for people who work in the city of Peterborough and yet still wish to have a country and/or cottage type lifestyle.
