Every year staff and agents from CENTURY 21 Dome roll up their sleeves and head out to prepare for the summer opening of Camp Easter Seal, a completely wheelchair accessible resort specially designed for adults and children with disabilities. This one of a kind camp is located near Watrous Saskatchewan, surrounded by lush wooded slopes and the beautiful Manitou Lake. Campers can expect:
- Swimming and boating
- Horseback riding
- Sports activities
- Cook-outs and picnics
- Rustic camping and overnight tenting
- Arts and crafts
- Wagon rides and tours of area
- Talent shows and campfires
- Banquets and socials
- AND summer memories that will last a lifetime!
With so many accommodations and activity’s to offer at this vast facility, there’s always plenty of work to do to prepare for the camp’s opening. On May 18th CENTURY 21 Dome staff and agents, grabbed their rakes, tree trimmers, cleaning & paint supplies and got to work! Experiencing how much goes into running and preparing the camp is a meaningful and eye opening experience. This charity is close to our hearts, and through our annual Camp Work day we get to see first-hand the incredible opportunities being made available to campers that may be unable to experience them elsewhere.
Camp Easter Seal is operated by the Saskatchewan Abilities Council and is open from June through August. The high level of personal care and special facilities required to safely operate Camp Easter Seal means costs are substantial. Children’s camps are funded totally through volunteer donations to Easter Seals Saskatchewan. We are extremely proud that in Saskatchewan, CENTURY 21® has raised over One Million dollars to send kids to Camp Easter Seal.
