Bird Watching & Feeding
Have you been to Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre? It features 25km of nature trails for hiking, canoeing, and kayaking. Beautiful scenery with wild birds in their natural habitat. There are also birds of prey, amphibian & reptile displays, and trumpet swans. You can also feed the birds right from your hand!

Elmvale Jungle Zoo features 25 acres of shady walking trails, has a park, picnic area and features exotic animals from around the world. Monkeys, Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, exotic birds, snakes, and more!
If you like feeding animals, there is a feeding and petting area as well.
Do you like fishing? Or would you like to learn? Barrie has excellent open water for fishing, and home to Perch, Trout and Bass to name a few. For children - Barrie offers a Teach a Kid to Fish Day. You can choose to fish on the shores of Kempentfelt Bay, or book a charter. There are many choices, but note: Over 18 you need a fishing license.
