Why Retire to Renfrew Area
Renfrew is a sanctuary from the fast pace of modern life. We have big city services, small town friendliness, safety and security in a picturesque setting with lush forests, rolling hills & pristine lakes and rivers for all to enjoy! Renfrew County is well known for its rich cultural heritage and offers many cultural events.
Your biggest and best investment in the world today is your Home and your Car. My professional background has been largely in the automotive industry which made an easy natural progression to a career in Real Estate.
I started out in 1986 as Parts and Service Manager for Stewart Nissan. Within a very short time I was involved in the Sales and Leasing of New and Used Cars and was involved in the managing of the new car dealership. In 1988 I received my sales license and continued to be Parts and Service Manager while also selling and leasing new and used vehicles.
In 1991 I used my experience to start my own business. I began Renfrew Auto Sales and Service. A three bay garage repair business and became a licensed Automotive Dealer. In 1995 I brought Budget Car and Truck Rentals on board becoming an operator for Budget. That gave me a complete package of service to offer the many residents of the Ottawa Valley until 2009 when I sold Renfrew Auto. I enjoyed my many years of success and look forward to a rewarding career with Century 21 Eady Realty.
Having the great many years of experience in business planning, insuring and financing and the personal involvement in real estate makes me an excellent resource for your Real Estate needs!

Frustrated with trying to sell your home privately??? This is a must read!!!
So you are trying to sell your property on your own or at least considering it. Being one of the largest business transactions you will ever make you must ask yourself if you are ready to accept the challenges and many responsibilities that accompany this task. You will need to make yourself available anytime day or night for phone calls, showings and information requests. You will recieve many compliments on your home and wonder why they dont come back. As well, you entertain buyers that seek out "for sale by owner" properties looking for a deal and you will see offers that will eventually fall apart since the realtor's job is to qualify a potential client.
The majority of Buyers work with a Realtor since it is a free service. You will need to offer a commission to Realtors representing Buyers in order to have them bring their clients.
Ask yourself if you are really saving in the end!
Homes sold by owners typically are sold for less than if they were properly priced and marketed.
Some thoughts to ponder....Can you handle the legal paper work and liabilities that are part of the transaction? What is your marketing plan, are you able to be available to answer calls from Realtors and Buyers at all hours of the day, can you show your home at all hours of the day? What statistical information did you use when pricing your property to ensure that it is not rejected by the market?
I am sure by now you get the picture and understand that having a realtor will definitely be to your advantage. I offer a free home market analysis and will take the time to discuss the various issues that will arise. I only get paid when your home sells unlike those For Sale By Owner companies that take your money up front and leave all the work and liabilities to you. I am just a short call, text, email away at anytime and can have your home on the market quickly.
I am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy all this part of Canada has to offer. Our four seasons of fun make it easy on any given day to find recreation.
In the summer I enjoy boating, fishing and hiking around the many lakes so close to home including Calabogie Lake, Hurds Lake, the Ottawa River, Centennial Lake and the many small trout lakes so close to home. As an ATV owner I can leave from my house on my 4whlr to go fishing. My 24ft pontoon boat never gets too much throttle while we float around watching the beautiful sunsets this area has to offer
I enjoy the "dark" days of our Canadian winters by snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross country skiing and of course down hill skiing at Calabogie Peaks, only 10mins from our home.
Staying young and enjoying all that this part of our beautiful country has to offer is my greatest personal interest.
Move to the Ottawa Valley and enjoy our good nature!
