Lakeside: An All Seasons Community
Lloydminster Lakeside is a very popular family-oriented subdivision of Lloydminster. Lakeside residents are justifiable proud of their quiet, beautiful community. Lakeside features a stunning network of parks and trails, artful landscaping, waterfront, and calm cul-de-sacs. One aspect of Lakeside that everyone enjoys is the view of the amazing Bud Miller All Seasons Park, a 200 acre year-round playground for the whole family that features a ten-acre trout fishing lake, paved walking trails, a playground, garden plot rentals, mini golf, and ice-skating in the winter.
According to the 2007 municipal census, Lakeside has 874 residents. With under a thousand people in the neighborhood, Lakeside maintains the friendly atmosphere of a small town, with all the advantages of a city the size of Lloydminster. The average household size is 3.01 people, and the population density is a mere 2.38 people per acre. Lakeside has an average family income of $131,739. Most of the homes in the neighborhood are single-detached buildings, with some row houses, some semi-detached homes, and five apartment buildings. Sixty percent of the homes are rentals, and forty percent of the homes are owner-occupied. The average home in Lakeside is worth $262,323.
There are currently no schools in the Lloydminster Lakeside area but there will be soon. Lloydminster is in the process of building the College Park School nearby, which will educate kindergartners through ninth graders.
