At Conexus, we care about the well being of our communities. We are happy to have provided the Saskatchewan Abilities Council (Regina Branch) with the $25,000 in funds needed to help purchase its first Para-transit bus.
The Para-transit bus will allow many citizens of our community to more fully participate in activities that enhance their lives. The bus provides people with the ability to be self-reliant and it just so happens that self-reliant initiatives are one of three Key Priority Areas for the Conexus Community Investment Program.
Initiatives focusing on self-reliance help to reduce the economic vulnerability of individuals and the people at Conexus are very proud to support organizations that empower individuals and assist in improving their social situation - organizations like the Saskatchewan Abilities Council.
Involvement with community groups like the Saskatchewan Abilities Council allows Conexus to demonstrate our shared values and commitment to building strong and healthy communities.
In 2010, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council celebrated 60 years of service in delivering recreational, rehabilitation and vocational programs to adults and children with disabilities in Saskatchewan.
We wish the Saskatchewan Abilities Council continued success in the future.
