Market Update - Average Price Rises To New September Record for Cambridge Ontario

The average price for homes sold via the Real Estate Board of Cambridge Inc.’s MLS® system rose to the highest level for the month of September on record. Meanwhile, the supply of available homes available for sale shrank.

 According to the Board’s statistics, the MLS® residential average price for homes sold in September 2009 was $256,023, up three per cent from year-ago levels.

 MLS® home sales numbered 251 units in September 2009, down four per cent year-over-year from the highest level ever for the month of September recorded last year. Activity remains high, since sales in September 2009 were the second highest on record for the month.
