Brandon Real Estate Sales for 2009
Residential single family Real Estate sales for 2009 in Brandon provide us with some interesting statistics. The number of sales declined 8.6% from 2009. However average sale prices remained relatively constant with a marginal decline of less than 1%. I see our local market continuing to grow modestly in 2010 with home prices increasing in the 1-2% range. Our local and provincial employment picture looks promising and interest rates remain attractive. We are already seeing buyers taking advantage of this situation with our January sales activity very strong. My advice to sellers is if you are planning a move this year,don't wait to get on the market in the spring as is normally traditional. There are quality buyers looking for the right home now and they are buying with April,May or later possession dates.
