Annual Easter Seals "Send a Kid to Camp" Shred-a-Thon Thank you!
Thank you so much for all those that participated in the Century 21 Westman Realty Easter Seals “Send a Kid to Camp” Fundraiser held on Saturday, May 26th!
Your support at the Shred-a-Thon
was greatly appreciated and goes towards our goal of sending a kid to camp each year. Shredder bill is not in yet, but we anticipate we will be adding at least $600 towards the $2100 it takes to send a “Kid to Camp”!
The Shred-a-Thon is held each year on the last Saturday of May so join us again and help us reach our goal to “Send a Kid to Camp”!
Your Century 21 Westman Realty team!
Thanks to everyone that attended and/or supported the 8th Annual Easter Seals Bonspiel!
The 8th Annual Easter Seals Bonspiel was held on February 10, 2018 at Riverview Curling Club. It was a great success with 24 teams participating plus friends and families coming to watch.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be donating $12,000 to SMD/Easter Seals! That makes the total amount this event has raised since the beginning $88,500!
An event like this does not happen without the help of a lot of people and corporate sponsors are a large part of it. RBC mortgage brokers have been on board since the first bonspiel, and this year because of them also volunteering their time, their corporate office has doubled their donation. Other Gold Sponsors were; Fowler Hyundai, Glen Lea Golf Course, Wheat City Electric, Centum Mortgage, Sobey's Brandon South, Forman Honda & Mazda, Brad Nesbitt of Investors Group, Brandon University Bobcats, and Meighen Haddad LLP. Major prize donators were; Kevin Martin of Branstone Financial, Guild HMS Insurance, and Century 21 Westman Realty Ltd. We also had Russ Danielson of Absolute Entertainment providing the music all night, and Jamie Willey of Studio 78 doing the official photography for the event.
The star of the show year was Jode of Jode's Cafe! She donated the delicious dinner and also donated a prize. Her roast beef meal was raved about all night. If you want to experience this awesome food, you can find her at Jode's Cafe located at Heartland Livestock in Brandon.
Westjet came through in a big way again and donated a pair of vouchers for anywhere in the world Westjet flies. Other prizes this year were a Margaritaville blender, Michael Kors purse, Google Mini Home, and a Golf Westman package, 4 passes each donated by; Glen Lea, Wheat City, Minnedosa, Clear Lake, Pleasant Valley, Neepawa, Killarney, and Shilo.
Thanks to a whole bunch of volunteers who showed up to help sell tickets and tend the bar; fellow agents, RBC people, and especially to my friends that show up out of the goodness of their hearts.
I have to thank my co-workers that help me out. Michael Barrett has been there since day one and is very essential to my sanity through this, besides being a very good number cruncher. This year we also recruited Ericka Fowler to look after the prizes and Laurie Brugger to organize the volunteers.
My biggest thank you's are always saved for the awesome people show up every year to participate! You are my heroes!

The planned facility will include 4 full-sized diamonds and 4 mini diamonds for youth ages 4-12, a canteen and washrooms.
Century 21 Westman Realty's golf tournament fund-raising efforts will be used yearly to assist various groups that have been created to support local community projects, mostly have one-time needs and do not normally receive funds other than the volunteers joining together to make a difference in their communities.

Easter Seals camps provide first in a lifetime experiences for many Canadian youth living with disability. Programming revolves around developing the child’s independence, confidence and social skills as many campers will leave the comfort and safety of their home for the first time when heading off to an Easter Seals camp.
Other services include year-round active living opportunities, as well as the provision of specialized mobility and access equipment such as mobility aids, assistive technology, adaptive computers, augmentative communication devices and adaptations to homes and vehicles for wheelchair accessibility.
Normally these assistive aids are cost prohibitive for most people and families. With help from its donors and sponsors, Easter Seals works to ensure that everyone with a disability has access to the equipment and services they need to make the most of their abilities.
