WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE
Imagine me as your real estate consultant. What I do for you is invest my time consulting, negotiating, and organizing the details of your transaction because you want to have a superb experience that causes you to want to introduce me to the people you care about most.
The purpose of my business is referral, which means I must bring the type of value that makes you feel comfortable introducing me to the people you know who need my help. After all, a referral is sending someone you care about to someone you trust.
Here is what some of my clients had to say about my help.
The sale of one's home is never easy but the process of selling the farm, where we'd lived for more than thirty years, was a daunting proposition. We knew it was a special home that would appeal to a small sub-set of buyers - even among those looking for rural properties. We were fortunate to learn of Wilco Overink through his involvement with the New Canadians Centre and we were very pleased with all he did on our behalf. Wilco took time to get to know us and to experience and understand the property. He undertook careful research in order to help us to set our asking price. He was direct and realistic in advising us that, to achieve the price we hoped to realize, we would need to be patient. And, while several other agents dismissed us out of hand, indicating that our expectations were unrealistic, Wilco agreed to work with assurances that he would not pressure us in order to try to effect a quick sale. Wilco marketed the property based on the likelihood that our buyer would be from Toronto (or perhaps even outside of Canada). Great articles in Vertrek (a Dutch emigration magazine) and the on-line edition of Country Living magazine were among the innovative things he tried to get exposure for the farm. Wilco pre-screened those who asked to come through and he followed up with everyone, in some cases, tracking them for months if there seemed still to be interest. Wilco stuck with us and with our property believing, as we did, that the value was there, if only we could connect with a buyer looking for a unique and special home like ours. On the Canada Day long weekend we had back to back showings and received an offer the following Tuesday. Not content though, Wilco followed up with others who had shown interest that weekend and before long we were in a position of having competing offers. Working carefully and effectively with the prospective buyers and their agents, Wilco secured an offer of full asking price with very few conditions. Needless to say, we are absolutely delighted with the results and very grateful to Wilco for his fine work on our behalf. He is everything we could have hoped for in an agent; attuned to our needs, direct and confident in his advice, patient and a skillful and tenacious negotiator. Thank you Wilco!!

Prior to my career in real estate I spent more than 23 years working as a tax manager - specialized in income- and corporate taxation - for various accounting and law firms. Customer service satisfaction has always been the first and foremost priority throughout my career.
Born and raised in The Netherlands but lured by the abundance of space and nature my family and I decided to emigrate to Canada. We fell in love with The Kawartha's and have called it home since July 2007.
I enjoy hiking, canoeing, cross country skiing and simply being outdoors. So the Kawartha's is the perfect place for me. Nothing would give me more pleasure than to help my clients with finding a home in this wonderful area.
Since October 2011 I am involved with the New Canadians Centre in Peterborough. The New Canadians Centre Peterborough (NCC) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting immigrants, refugees and other newcomers in the Peterborough and Northumberland regions.
I served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the organization until the summer of 2015. Currently I am a member of the Finance Comittee.
