Professional Background

Licensed in Trading, Rental Management, Strata Management and Mortgage Brokerage in 1980 Bill became the majority shareholder in what is now Century 21 Prudential Estates (RMD) Ltd.  Today Century 21 Prudential is the oldest Century 21 office in Canada.

Currently Bill performs the general management functions for in excess of 40 employees and associates, 100 strata corporations, 300 rental properties and assists Ralph Visser in an associate company, Century 21 Ace Agency in Abbotsford, in their strata portfolio.

Professional Interests

For 10 years Bill served on the Richmond South Delta Division of the Real Estate Board in positions including President and Director.  Bill contributed to various standing committees at the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver including bylaws and legal, complaints and ethics, membership, education, business practices and the property management task force.

Bill was also one of the founding members of the Strata Property agents of British Columbia and the Century 21 Broker Council.

Strata Managment Licensing

For many years Bill says he was probably one of the biggest thorns in the sides of the last three provincial governments, pushing for the licensing of Strata/Condominium managers under the Real Estate Services Act of B.C. Licensing of strata managers in B.C. became a reality in 2005.  This resulted in Bill and all the other strata managers in the province having to write and pass a strata managers exam, to retain this "new license category" (Bill passed with flying colors)

Personal Background

Bill was born in Ottawa Ontario and grew up in and around Ottawa and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia in the Dunbar area.  After serving with the Canadian Armed forces in communications, he graduated from Point Gray High school in the Kerrisdale area of Vancouver taking a job with a business machine company.

One of his clients at the business machine company was a real estate company, that he bought his first house through, and in the mid 1970's he became licensed as a real estate salesman with that company.  In his real estate career he became involved in real estate brokerage and property management specializing in strata (condominium) management.  In 1980 he took his Agent/Nominee's  Licence .

Bill was lucky enough to have 3 great kids. Bryan involved in the plumbing industry, Darcie the "A" student is taking a science degree at Simon Fraser University, and in her spare time working with Dad at the office in administration and accounting.  Michael  is taking business at Langara College in Vancouver.  He also does odd jobs around the office like moving file boxes to and from the company warehouse,  with the hopes of following in Dad's footsteps one day.

Personal Interests

For stress relief Bill still likes to play golf, if and when he can, and his hobby is working on and owning classic cars (he still has his 1946 ford he drove to high school). If you are in the lower mainland of BC you may have seen it at various community Show & Shine car shows, it's the blue 1946 ford with The Century 21 in the rear side windows.

If you do see the 46 ford, a red 1987 corvette may accompany it, driven by daughter Darcie,  and Bill will not be far away.

Community Involvement

When his children were growing up he was involved  for 10 years in the scouting movement from group committees, Beaver, Cub and Scout leadership to parent committee of the Royal Canadian army Cadet core in Richmond.
