As I worked on my website; I began to realize just how valuable the time spent could be.
As new agents, and even for experienced agents, it is important to know who you are, how to describe your particular service and who your ideal target market could be. By many of us, that developmental exercise is often put on the back burner, and yet it is one of the most important steps towards success. All agents have similar talents; those who can best communicate their strengths, plans and vision will capture the attention of the marketplace.
The goal is to paint a picture of yourself and through doing so you will unleash the possibilities. This picture can be shared with friends, management, mentors; so prepare it accurately and honestly. Gaps on your the canvas can in fact help you see new opportunities; and of course the areas of interest and experience should help you build a foundation.
Take the time to develop a complete profile for your website. If the task is too daunting, do it incrementally. First create a sketch and then regularly go in to fine tune yoyr presentation.
Knowing and being clear about yourself comes first; in fact, before others will see the value within.
