How Is the Real Estate Market In Osgoode-Metcalfe-Vernon?
Year End Results!
Today, we will give you a quick update on three very popular towns just outside of Ottawa and within easy commuting distance of the city. We will take a look at what is selling in the communities of Osgoode-Metcalfe-Vernon. But first, let’s take a quick look at the overall Ottawa numbers as both the December and the year-end sales results are now in for the Ottawa Real Estate Board and the numbers are very impressive. 2017 was an excellent year.
According to a board press release, 771 residential properties sold in December through the Board’s MLS® system, compared with 711 in December 2016, an increase of 8.4 per cent. The five-year average for December sales is 687.
The total number of residential and condo units sold through the Board’s MLS® System throughout all of 2017 was 17,083, compared with 15,526 in 2016, an increase of ten per cent. Overall, residential sales volume was up 16 per cent.
In the above communities we had 99 sales of all types of housing in 2017 compared to 105 in 2016. The slight drop was due to Vernon which had a superb year in 2016. Last year there were also 35 additional sales in the immediate area surrounding these communities.

Under $300,000 29 sales
$300,000-350,000= 14 sales
$350,000-400,000= 18 sales
$400,000-500,000= 23 sales
