211 homes were sold in Grande Prairie in September 2017, up from 159 in September 2016. To date, 1,761 homes have been sold in Grande Prairie in 2017, a 27% increase from the first nine months of 2016. The average sale price for 2017 is $299,195.
Chart below is interesting as 2016 saw more Multi Family being built as opposed to Single Family. After a tough 2016 the single family starts could only go “up”.
102 drilling licenses were issued in Grande Prairie last month, bringing the year-to-date total to 604, a 47% increase over the first nine months of 2016.
Of the 604 licenses issued to date, 229 were for oil, 336 for gas and 39 for other industry related wells, compared to 104, 268 and 38 respectively last year.
Drilling completions are up 113% from last year with 596 completions to date in 2017, compared to 280 in 2016.
