Calgary, Alberta (January 2019) – REALTOR® Mike Dreger has given Easter Seals kids the experience of a lifetime: a week-long trip to a fully accessible summer camp. By raising over $2,100 this year, Dreger is inducted into the 2018 C21® Kids To Camp Club and receives the CENTURY 21 Golden Heart Award.

The club’s mission is to provide more kids with life-changing camp memories by increasing awareness and inspiring fundraising within CENTURY 21 offices.

“I know this program will definitely give many bright campers a wonderful future. I’ve attended Easter Seals Camp Rotary to take the leadership training program, which helped teach me the skills I will need as I look at future job opportunities,” said Brandon Liston, Easter Seals national ambassador. “I am sure this is the case for many others like me, and it is all because of people like Mike and the Kids To Camp Club!”

Easter Seals will highlight Mike on a special installation at their local camp and nationally in the organization’s annual report.

Since 1979, CENTURY 21 Network members around the world have supported local Easter Seals families through fundraising and volunteering. In 2017 alone, CENTURY 21 offices across Canada raised over $748,000 for Easter Seals; since 1979, CENTURY 21 Canada has raised more than $10 million in support of local Easter Seals.

About the Kids To Camp program
CENTURY 21 Canada® introduced the Kids To Camp program in 2009 to send children to summer camps run by Easter Seals across the country. Through events like The Drop Zone, 24-hour relays, Woman2Warrior, and locally organized fundraising functions, Network members have provided thousands of children with the independence of fully-accessible summer camps and memorable experiences throughout Canada.

How are Easter Seals camps different?
Each camp is specially designed and equipped to accommodate children and young adults with special needs. The addition and maintenance of ramps and lifts, the modification of doorways and washrooms, purchase of specialized sports equipment like climbing walls and giant swings are just a few of the expenses unique to camp operations.

Welcome to my personal introduction, my goal is to introduce myself in a way that will help you choose the right realtor - I began my Real Estate career in August of 1997 in Calgary and with hard work and perseverance, I was able to achieve #1 status in our office in 2001, 2002 and #59 Sales associate in all of Canada in 2002!

In August of 2003, I was headhunted to join a large global land banking/development company specializing in the acquisition of strategically located land for future development, and soon became Executive Vice-President of Sales Canada. In my time there I managed a sales staff of over 120 people and was responsible for over $500M in sales of land through financial planners and the Exempt markets.

After several years of the corporate world I was missing the sense of selling homes which is my passion and returned to Century 21 Bamber in February 2012 and was quickly able to achieve #3 realtor in 2013, #4 in 2014 and #3 in 2015 and 2016 as well as Centurion producer each year. In 2017 I formed a team with Dave Greenwood and Kaitlyn Gottlieb and have branded ourselves "Exclusive Calgary Real Estate Group" and achieved #2 status in 2017. Today, I have a team of 4 that help service all of my clients needs. I believe my hard work, experience and dedication to client care are my strongest assets as I treat everyone as family. I'm also very experienced in the financing and building aspects of real estate, having built several homes over the years myself and can help educate clients on their purchase of a new home. As well, I work with several high end builders in Calgary who provide an exceptional product to the marketplace.

In my spare time I'm an avid sports nuts, play men's rec hockey, cycle, ride motorbikes and have my private pilot's licence - my summer passion is boating and spending time in the Shuswap which I find is a great place to chill and re-charge. On the charitable side, I'm a member of The Mavericks Chuckwagon Racing Team which is a group of 25 local businessmen who run 2 chuckwagons' at The Calgary Stampede yearly and raise money for local children's charities - to the tune of $400,000 plus each year.

Calgary Market Update 12/10/2018

 

Although sales YTD are down over 14%, active listings today have slipped to below 6300 all inclusive. If there is one positive sign in our market, this is it, we need to see inventory fall to keep prices stable and steer us toward a more balanced market. Average price YTD is only down 1.29% @ $478,869 and an interesting stat for listings is that close to 40% are vacant. This means over 750 NEW homes/condo's and over 1788 previously owned are sitting vacant at this time which will put a little downward pressure on prices for those properties, some may lower prices as we come into the winter season to avoid carrying through the slower months, some may not. All in all, our market is still fairly brisk(not compared to previous years) at just over 15,622 sales so far.
